Use class name in templates

For use in templates: {% if object|classname:"entry" %} ... class="{{ object|classname }}" ... I couldn't find simpler solution for checking weather specific object belongs to specific class name, or just to output object's class name.

linebreaksli template filter

This template filter will split a string of text on newlines and return a string of <li></li>s with a newline before every line. This is handy for taking a paragraph of text and making an <ol> or <ul> from its lines. Don't forget to register your filter with the template library first or the filter won't work.

render_markup filter, specify the markup filter as a string

Ever since django.contrib.markup appeared I've added a `markup_lang` field to my models where I want to support multiple input formats. This filter lets you pass the filter name as a string (from your model field, for example) and it will call the appropriate filter. I use None when the text is HTML, in which case it will return as-is. Example: class Article(models.Model): content = models.TextField(null=False, default="") markup_lang = models.CharField(maxlength=20, blank=True) a = Article(content="**Test!**", markup_lang='textile') b = Article(content="<h1>Hello!</h1>") And in a template: {% for article in article_list %} {{ article.content|render_markup:article.markup_lang }} {% endfor %}

aggregate filter

Makes it possible to add a filtering condition directly after the aggregate function (or possible, `aggregate(expression) WITHIN GROUP (ordering clause)`. This is mostly useful if the annotation has two or more expressions, so it's possible to compare the result with and without the applied filter; it's more compact than using `Case`. It's suggested to add `values` to the queryset to get a proper group by. Usage example: `books = Book.objects.values('publisher__name').annotate( count=Count('*'), filtercount=Filter(expression=Count('publisher__name'), condition=Q(rating__gte=5)) ) ` Supported on Postgresql 9.4+. Possible other third-party backends.

Filter changelist by a numeric field using a number of common value ranges

## How to use Use this [admin filter](https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.8/ref/contrib/admin/#django.contrib.admin.ModelAdmin.list_filter) together with a numeric field to allow filtering changlist by field values range (in this case, age groups): For example, to group customers by age groups: class Customer(models.Model): # ... age = models.IntegerField() age.list_lookup_range = ( (None, _('All')), ([0, 2], '0-2'), ([2, 4], '2-4'), ([4, 18], '4-18'), ([18, 65], '18-65'), ([65, None], '65+'), )) class CustomerAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): list_filter = [('age', ValueRangeFilter), ] ## Inspiration [This snippet](https://djangosnippets.org/snippets/587/) (for django < 1.4) inspired me to make this work for newer django versions.

App Display Label Template Filter Workaround

I have been wrestling with custom app labels and have come to the conclusion that this is the easiest workaround for the problem. Since I name most of my apps as Foo_Bar this makes them look a lot nicer. I just apply the filter to whatever app label and it fixes it. If you need a more complex replacement, you could just have an if statement that looks for the full app label and replaces it with whatever you want.

Django filter stack to cleanup WYSIWYG output

Django Template Tag Filter stack to clean up output from [widgEditor](http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/widgEditor/) or other WYSIWYG text-input box. Removes arbitrary line break code and replaces with Django's cleaner `|linebreaks` filter. Also removes any arbitrary styling, leaving in things like bold, italic, link and image tags.
