Generic object_detail view filterable by multiple url values

This view acts as an extension to the object_detail generic view in django.views.generic.object_list. The standard generic view can only filter the queryset by object_id or slug; this view allows you to filter by any parameter you like, as well as multiple parameters. The usage is the same as the standard object_detail view except that you must also give the parameter 'filters', which should be an array of what you would like to filter the url values as, and instead of 'slug' or 'object_id' as the regex parameter in the URL, use 'value1', 'value2', etc. Example: If you have a list of companies, each with multiple branches, you may want a branch details page. A URL for this may look as follows: http://www.mysite.com/company/company-slug/branch-slug/. To implement this simply use the urlpattern example give,

Group sequence into rows and columns for a TABLE

Two template tag filters that can be used to create a table from a sequence. <table> {% for row in object_list|groupby_columns:3 %} <tr> {% for obj in row %} <td>{{ obj }}</td> {% endfor %} </tr> {% endfor %} </table> The example above would create a table where items read from top to bottom, left to right, in 3 columns. "Empty" cells are added to the sequence by the filter so that your rows balance.

RelatedNullFilterSpec: django-admin custom filter all/null/not null/choices

A simple django-admin filter to replace standar RelatedFilterSpec with one with the "All"/"Null"/"Not null" options. It applies to all relational fields (ForeignKey, ManyToManyField). You can put the code in the `__init__.py` or wherever you want. The `_register_front` idea is copied on [this snippet](http://djangosnippets.org/snippets/1963/)

Anticollate? Disinterleave?

This is yet another partitioning filter, but I wanted to be able to distribute my objects across two columns, and have them read from left to right, top to bottom. So if n = 2 this would return every other object from a queryset. With gratitude to the author of snippet 6.

Extended db cache backend with 'filter() / LIKE' support (and now scheduled cache clean!)

Because the db caching doesn't support atomic operations, it was unsafe to store a list of 'keys' in a single key. So, rather than store the list, I just append each key with a specific tag, and then filter for it later. This means I don't need to worry too much about atomic usage with lists (i.e. queued requests). However - I still can think of many instances where I would need atomic usage, so I will probably implement this later on down the line. Hopefully, the atomic modifications will be accepted by the core devs. This also contains threaded cache cleaning, which means you no longer need to rely on requests to clean the cache (which would have potentially slowed the user query down), and will remove any cache entries past their expiry date every 3 minutes. Enjoy! Cal

Wrappable text

Sometimes you have an uncontrolled amount of text in a horizontally constrained space. The wrappable filter places zero-width breaking spaces into the given text so that it can wrap at any point, as necessary for the containing width. Sometimes better than eliding (chopping long text...) or cropping/scrolling overflow.

Soft hyphenation (&shy;) template filter using PyHyphen

This template filter is meant to insert soft hyphens ([&shy; entities](http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/shy.html)) in text whever it can. For this is relies on a **recent** checkout of the [PyHyphen](http://code.google.com/p/pyhyphen/) interface to the hyphen-2.3 C library, which is also used by Mozilla and OpenOffice.org. It takes two optional parameters: the language to hyphenate in and the minimum word length to consider for hyphenation. If no language is given, the default language from the settings file is used. The second parameter defaults to 5 characters. Usage example: {% load hyphenation %} {{ object.text|hyphenate:"nl-nl,6" }}

nofollow filter for external links

Based on [svetlyak](http://www.djangosnippets.org/users/svetlyak/)'s [nofollow filter](http://www.djangosnippets.org/snippets/312/). This one processes only external URL's. Links with internal URL's will be returned unmodified. There's one gotcha; I preferred to have false positives instead of false negatives. So, it will nofollow `href="some/relative/path/"` for example. If you must do relative paths do it like this: <a href="./some/relative/path">link text</a>

HTML/JS template filter to show localized dates/times

Text Highlighting Filter

This filter can be used to wrap <span class='highlight'> around anything you want to highlight in a block of text. For example, if you had 'foo bar foo baz' inside the context variable MYTEXT, you could do {{ MYTEXT|highlight:'foo' }}, and "<span class='highlight'>foo</span> bar <span class='highlight'>foo</span> baz" would be returned. How you style the highlight class is up to you.
